Decorating with Plaid

It is the most wonderful time of the year!

That means it's time to deck those halls with seasonal decor! As soon as the snow hits the ground, the want to be cozy and festive is at an all time high. Busting out the flannel is probably one of the first things I do, and that goes for my clothes AND all rooms of the house.

Plaid is such a staple for holiday decorating, so we've put together some inspiration of how to incorporate it around the house!

The Blue Huron received a Christmas makeover on our KBD Team Retreat. We had pops of plaid going on throughout the cottage.

Pillow covers are one of the easiest ways to update your home decor. Add the perfect seasonal touch with a plaid that matches what you already have. As you can see, we added touches of red that definitely pop against the blue couches. With the greenery on the outside brought inside, mixing in the red makes it feel more like Christmas!

Bringing the blue from the living room to the bedroom also helps for a flow throughout the cottage! This bedroom has a warm, winter feel to it now.

A small touch such as this also helps with the flow of your space. Looking for a craft to do? Get some plaid fabric and get creative!

Incorporating plaid into your holiday baking is so easy too! Whether that be with mugs, plates, or napkins as we did with our cinnamon buns and apple cider!

Beau's buffalo plaid flannel bed looks extra warm and cozy, and adds the perfect touch to any space he wants to take a snooze! He also has a plaid collar. How cute does he look!

Who doesn't love a good plaid for our clothing too! Plaid is a great way to keep warm and festive the entire season. Whether it's on a vest or a flannel shirt, you'll be looking trendy while comfortable! Not to mention, great for cuddles with a cute pup by the fire!
