Quick Backyard Refresh Before and After

We have been working on a client's backyard for the past couple of weeks and we are so excited to share with you the final photos! It is finished right in time for the summer season and our clients get to lounge around all summer long!

The client already had a few pieces that she wanted to incorporate and reuse, such as the dining table set, brown outdoor rugs, conversation set in the front patio and a day bed in the back patio. She also already had a few navy pillows that she wanted to incorporate, so we decided to go for a nautical, Grecian theme with lots of navy, white and gold.

Before

We used this dining table set for the backyard refresh, but we had to replace the umbrella that was broken during the bad windy weather in Toronto a few months ago.

We also kept the conversation set, coffee table and the daybed in the back patio for the refresh as it was still in good condition.

After

We moved the conversation set to the other side of the front patio and accented with lots of navy and blue pillows with rope details. A blue and white Pottery Barn rug was used to layer on the existing brown one to give more depth to the space. We kept the cozy faux fur throws to add a cozy element to the seating area and it will come in useful for more chilly evenings.

The dining table set is placed on an angle to mimic the angle of the backyard deck stairs. This way it would feel more natural as you are bringing food and drinks out and placing it on the table instead of the table being squished in the back corner.

This navy rectangular umbrella from Pottery Barn just pulls this whole dining area together. Again, we used a lot of blue accent pillows with printed rope patterns to add some colour into the space. The glasses, dishes, bowls and gold lantern are also from Pottery Barn.

This white swinging chair is our client's kids' favourite part of the refresh! It is such a fun element to add into a backyard - we would love to just lounge around in the chair all day with a drink and a magazine! We popped a blue throw pillow on the swing to add some colour and to tie it back in with the rest of the backyard.

This back patio is looking so much better after this refresh! The white flowers we planted along the window shed and the pots flanking the shed doors add a nice summery, Grecian feel.

We added a lot of pillows on the daybed to make it more cozy and inviting. A set of 4 blue rattan chairs around the fire pit allows this back patio area to seat a lot of people during a gathering!
