For today's blog post I was invited to share my favourite winter decor in a winter home tour by a fellow blogger (honeynhydrangea) I met through Instagram.

After clearing out my Christmas decor and taking my Christmas tree to the curb my apartment was feeling a little empty. I decided to keep a few pieces that I thought felt wintery and add a few more. Here are some the pictures that capture my favourite winter decor this season in the living room of my small downtown Toronto apartment.

To begin my winter apartment style I changed the pillows on my sofa. I sewed two with a green snowflake motif and one in the middle with fabric from Kravet designed by Sarah Richardson. The greens complement my traditional minty-green colour palette but the patterns give it a wintery feel.

I kept the pine cones around the large candle on my coffee table to bring the outside inside my apartment.

I also added a throw that matched with the colour scheme of the pillows. It was a nice touch to bring some warmth to my cream white sofa. Who doesn't like to curl up with a nice soft throw on a cold winter day?

The back console table behind my sofa is the perfect home for some more winter decor. I have my two glass trees from Pottery Barn that I loved all throughout Christmas and am still enjoying! I paired these with some gold and glass pillar candlestick holders which I found at a local thrift store.

On the other side I have added two candle sleeves from Bath and Body Works a couple years ago that fit with my snowflake motif. They perfectly transition from Christmas to winter decor.

On the opposite side of my living room is the white fireplace mantle which is perfect for displaying my winter decor. I kept my winter theme watercolour pillow from Senay Studio on my lovely chair. I also had an old watercolour painting of a winter forest that I rested on top of my fireplace to accent the wintery decor and fill up any leftover space on my mantle.

Here is a closer view... Funnily enough my cousin and I picked up those logs on the way home one late night. I had originally wanted to lay them sideways but found they looked much better chopped up and facing forwards. Again another way to bring the cold outdoors into the warm inside of my little apartment.
