The Only Peanut Butter Cookies Recipe You Need!

To start off my week of Christmas baking I thought I would share with you my family's peanut butter cookie recipe.

You know how you are always trying different receipes until you find one that works for you? Look no further! -- This peanut butter receipe has been passed through my family and everyone agrees it is the best. These cookies turn out perfect, every time. They are crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, and they have just the right amount of peanut butter.

Here is a copy of the recipe that has been drifting around my family's homes -- the messiest written recipes are always the best.

(Just in case you can' t make out the ancient hand writting, here is the typed up version...)

Peanut Butter Cookies

(yields 2 to 3 dozen cookies)

Ingredents:

3/4 cup of margarine

3/4 cup of white sugar

3/4 cup of brown sugar

1 egg slightly beaten

3/4 cup of peanut butter

1 tsp of vanilla

1 3/4 cups of all purpose flour

1/2 tsp of baking soda

1/2 tsp of salt

Cream your margarine and both white and brown sugars together. Then add your egg that is slightly beaten and also your peanut butter and vanilla.

Mix your flour, baking soda and salt and then mix that into your wet ingredients.

Once everything is well combined, roll your cookie dough into a ball and wrap it in plastic wrap. Let it chill in the fridge for 20 minutes.

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and place 1" rolled balls on an ungreased cookie sheet. Then cross with a fork and bake in the oven for 10 - 12 mins.

Follow the above receipe and you can insure that your cookies will come out perfect! You will never want to use to another peanut butter cookies recipe again!!!

Until next time...

Sincerely,

Kendra
